This week has brought a storm of financial upheaval with condo issues, slow downs at work and a good look at budgeting. Trying my best to relax and remain calm. Most of the pieces are out of my control and the damage won't be know for quiet some time. Practice in patience - not my strong suit, and perseverance - definitely a characteristic in my wheel house.
SNAPSHOTS of Grace - 2nd week of October
> Hope. Having resources to plan for the future and a desire for a better balanced life. It's an evolving journey.
> Normal work week. Actually had down time from my job to rest, play, cook and visit friends.
> Book club. 2nd meeting held at my condo to discuss The ZooKeepers Wife. Grateful for another glimpse into WWII, specifically occupied Warsaw. The book is a history. Not smooth read as a novel. But worth the time as it was a beautiful story of survival and human spirit. Bonus - sharing my home with my friends.
> Planning projects. Photobooks, knitting projects, garden, exercise regimens. Spark into doing what I enjoy and feeling like I've time and energy to make progress.
> Health. Good check up on mouth - out to 6 month followups. Uncle P made it through surgery well. Aunt D is recovering and starting radiation treatments soon. Renewed surge to take the bull by the horns in this regard.
> Fall. My favorite season is upon us. Leaves are turning. There is a bright crispness to the air. Football. Beautiful autumn light. Pumpkins abound.
> Friends. Quality friend time overflowed the last week or so. Glorious.
Happy Fall!
