P-Patch Community Gardening Program and the P-Patch Trust in partnership with City Attorney’s Office, Seattle Police Department, and Humans Services Department invite you to attend a
“P-Patch Safety and Security Training”

At this Training, site leaders will be provided with the knowledge, skills and materials on the following topics:
· P-Patch Code of Conduct – Gary Smith, City Attorney Assistant will explain the P-Patch Code of Conduct and how to use it in the P-Patch. Codes of Conduct are used in public and private spaces and are important tools for enforcing acceptable behavior.
· Safety and Security in the P-Patch—Terrie Johnston, Seattle Community Policing Team Rep will lead a discussion on being safe in the P-Patch and how to respond to theft and other issues.
· Dealing with diverse populations – Edwin Obras, Outreach Coordinator from the Human Services Department will talk about how to respectfully deal with diverse populations and behaviors that gardeners can encounter in public spaces that are P-Patches.
This training is FREE and seating is limited to 35 people. We will be offering this training again later at a location in South of Seattle. Registration is required (Name, Contact info, and Name of your P-Patch Site), and is first come first served.
